Great – More Mergers

Can’t you feel it in the air? Sure you can. It’s merger season. It’s the time when powerful people dream of getting even more powerful. Sure there are lots of good reasons for Coors and Molson’s, SBC and AT&T, MetLife and Travelers, (and many others) to walk down the aisle. Trouble is, the chances of succeeding is small. The odds are not in their favor. Lots of studies have shown that mergers are often a bad bet.
