We Will Deal with Resistance Next Thursday

I saw a change plan that read Step 17: Deal with resistance.

Good intention. Wrong assumption.

Resistance — and support — don’t arrive on schedule. The possibility for resistance or support is often present from day one.

Treating support and resistance as steps is how projects get delayed, or quietly derailed.

Some things aren’t steps. They’re ongoing conditions.

I’d love your comments. Do you agree? Disagree? What do you do to pay attention to opportunities for support or the risks of resistance?

Please leave your comments on LinkedIn here. That allows others to see what you are saying so they can join the conversation. Thanks!
