How Creating Space Encourages Real Engagement

This short reflection explores how creating space in presentations and meetings helps ideas land and invites real engagement.

I’ve been revisiting something simple — but too often overlooked.

We tend to fill every slide. Every minute. Every sentence. The assumption is that more information equals more value.

But that’s not how people actually take things in.

Think about presentations or meetings you’ve been in where you walked away remembering three ideas — even though the presenter covered ten. That isn’t a failure of the audience. It’s design.

There’s a different approach. Less isn’t less. It’s space for ideas to land. Space for people to reflect. Space for questions and engagement.

In this week’s video, I explore why creating space matters more than filling every moment with content — and how you can start doing it, intentionally.

And if it sparks a thought, I’d be glad to hear it. Please comment on LinkedIn, where others can join the conversation.
